Terrilee Kelford has been working with children, teens and families with experiences of trauma and mental health challenges for 30+ years. In her capacity as a therapist she is dedicated to providing compassionate counseling services to individuals and families struggling with mental health issues. Her goal is to empower clients of all ages to achieve their personal and professional goals, and to improve their overall quality of life.
Terrilee uses a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices, to help clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviours. Terrilee is trained in CBT, CBTI, ACTherapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, DBT, Trauma, DDP, Expressive Arts and Mindfulness. Terrilee works with individuals age 10+, offering in-person and online sessions.
Terrilee believes in the power of volunteering and has devoted many hours to community development projects such as addressing rural youth homelessness and human trafficking. Terrilee is the Owner of the Carleton Place Collective for Mental Health, Wellness and Arts located in the Industrial Park in beautiful Carleton Place. The Collective is a group of independent practitioners including therapists, social workers, artists, musicians etc all coming together to offer a variety of classes, lessons, workshops and services under one roof.
